Wake Up Naturally

Try sleeping without your eye mask, turn off your alarm, and keep the black out curtains open for one night. Allow the natural sun rise to wake you and your cortisol up naturally.

Eat Breakfast in Bed

Who doesn’t love a little hotel room service breakfast in bed action. Grab your loved one, a partner, a friend and enjoy a yummy breakfast in bed! Either make it the night before, prep it that morning and crawl back in bed, or surprise that special person in your life with their favorite pastry. Enjoy the time together phone-free, laugh at silly jokes, allow yourself to take this morning to go slow.

Take Deep Meditative Breaths

Calm your mind, soul, and heart when you breath deep and slow. Deep breathing increases the activity of the vagus nerve, a part of parasympathetic nervous system.

The vagus nerve controls and also measures the activity of many internal organs. When the vagus nerve is stimulated, calmness pervades the body: the heart rate slows and becomes regular; blood pressure decreases; muscles relax.

Grab your partner and breath together! Make it a fun activity where you can be intentional with one another.

Stretch out your Muscles

Did you know one of the most common reasons behind stretching when we first wake up is that when we sleep, the muscles lose tone, and fluid tends to accumulate along the back. Therefore, stretching helps to massage the fluid gently back into a normal position, realigning the muscles.

Make some room to get long and lean out over your covers. Stretch long and reach for the sun.

Take a Long bath

To really enjoy the calmness of the morning, take advantage of a long bath. Add bath salts or bubbles to take it to the next level. And if you really want to feel like a queen; shave your legs, drink coffee or tea, play some music, light a candle, take some cbd before.

Go For a Walk

Go for an easy walk as soon as you wake up in the morning. Get sun in your eyes and let it kiss your skin. Inhale the fresh air and smell a flower as you walk your neighborhood. Hear the neighborhood birds chirp and the dogs bark. Listen to the cars go by. Feel the earth beneath your feet and maybe put your feet the grass to ground yourself. Get in nature!

Read a Book

Want a quiet activity to do after your nature walk? Curl up on the sofa or a cozy place in your home to read a good book! Don’t have a book? Head to your local library and check out the latest best-seller or browse digital books on your kindle. Read something that is soothing to your soul.
