My journey to who I am now started when I was young. My atheist/activist mother played a small role in my life, but my main influence was absolutely my grandmother.

My grandmother was what you’d now call a “woke” woman. Her free-range parenting style left me to my own devices much of the time. I was free to find my own way.

I received my first tarot deck from my father, a Master Freemason. I was fascinated with them, even at the tender age of five years old. Such a gift from a normal father wouldn’t have meant much – but a Freemason doesn’t give gifts that don’t mean something, and I fully know the introduction to the Arcana was absolutely intentional.

I knew before I graduated high school that Cosmetology was my path. I got my certification the same year I graduated high school. I’ve been behind the chair ever since.
